Is it worth getting a DPF cleaned?
Almost always — cleaning is a flat $850 against $2,000–$10,000+ for a replacement. The only exception is a filter that’s cracked, melted or fully ash-bound, and we’ll tell you that up front.
Can I clean my DPF myself?
You can try a highway drive or an additive for light soot, but if the light’s on, the car’s in limp mode, or a regen has failed, you need a proper diagnosis and on-car clean. Forcing regens without fixing the cause can make it worse.
Is DPF delete legal in Queensland?
No — removing or disabling a DPF is illegal for registered on-road vehicles in Queensland and across Australia, and can attract fines. Cleaning restores the filter legally, which is what we do.
